Tune Delivery Network (TDN) and Remote Tuning Device (RTD), are innovative evolutions of the traditional tuning delivery process that would otherwise require a vehicle to be in-shop for tuning and/or delivering tunes through email.

Both tools are designed to organize, simplify, and speed up the tuning process so shops can reach more of their business goals.

Make your business stand out, increase your returns, reach more customers, and make delivering tunes easier and faster than ever with these tuner tools.

The TDN Advantage

TDN Explained

Tune Delivery Network (TDN) is an online network built for professional tuners, qualified shops, and aftermarket companies to receive and deliver tune files as well as manage their customers.

TDN is available via the website portal and the Android/iOS app. With features like auto-tune deployment and auto-accepting invite codes, TDN is highly convenient for shops that tune a collection of vehicles every month.

TDN website with an RTD

TDN syncs with the RTD, as well as MPVI2, MPVI2+, and MPVI3 interfaces. Using an RTD, your customers are restricted from viewing and modifying any tune files they receive from their tuner. Customers can retrieve and send stock read files, forward fault codes, scan and clear DTCs, and flash custom tune files back to their vehicle using the mobile TDN app.

TDN also allows customers to send their datalog files straight to their tuner. Say a customer receives a new tune file with some revisions. After flashing to the vehicle using their interface, customers can immediately datalog their vehicle and send that file directly to their tuner via the app.

What is Remote Tuning Device (RTD)?

Remote Tuning Device (RTD) is the physical device that tuning shops use to distribute their tunes to their customers. It’s a crucial tool for shops, big and small, that want to further streamline their tuning process.

RTD shares some similarities with the new MPVI3 interface like standalone data logging and increased onboard storage. This means RTD is compatible with VCM Scanner for diagnostics and data logging, while also allowing customers to flash to their vehicle. However, RTD is not compatible with VCM Editor, preventing users from viewing or editing a tune file. This protects both shops and customers from unwanted tune modifications.

Using the free-to-download TDN app, customers can send all the necessary files retrieved from their RTD to their tuners using their phones.

Registered dealers have the opportunity to customize this device to their brand through our Private Label program. Choose from six color options and add a custom logo on the device and packaging. This program allows tuning shops to step up their remote tuning initiative while also building their brand.

How Does TDN Work for Customers?

Customers work solely on the TDN app— available for iOS and Android devices.

Note that the iOS app requires the latest generation RTD (generation 3), RTD+, MPVI2+, or MPVI3 interfaces. Not compatible with earlier RTD or MPVI/2 devices.

TDN app on a mobile device for customers

Once customers download the app, make an account, and connect to their interface via Bluetooth, they need to enter the tuner’s invite code. Once they are accepted to the tuner’s network, they can retrieve a stock read file from their vehicle and send it to the tuner. After they receive a custom tune file, they can flash it back to their vehicle in just minutes and start data logging on their phone.

If DTCs or fault codes are present, they can clear or forward them to the tuner. This process eliminates the need to have a bulky computer on hand. The ability for a customer to do all of this on their phone is highly convenient!

How Does TDN Work for Professional Tuners?

Professional tuners, shops, and aftermarket companies primarily work on the TDN website. After setting up an account, the next big task is building a network of customers.

TDN dashboard on a laptop

The TDN dashboard is the first thing tuners will see when opening the portal. It will display the number of customers, scanner configs, and invite codes they currently have.

To add customers to the network, tuners can create and send invite codes.

Invite Codes in TDN by HP Tuners

TDN Invite Codes

There are several types of invite codes tuners can create.

Creating an invite code in TDN by HP Tuners

Types of invite codes:

  1. A code that for people you already know and trust and whose business you want to accept automatically.
  2. A code that you give to people that contacted you, but you don’t really know them. Maybe you want to check them out a bit before you accept them or maybe you’re worried that they’ll share the code without your permission. Such customers can be screened rather than auto-accepted.
  3. A published code that is used for promotional purposes. In addition to screening new customers who enter this kind of code, you may want to set an expiration date for the code and a maximum number of uses for the code to match the promotion being run.

After accepting customers’ invite codes, tuners can manage clients/vehicles on the Customers page.

Customers page in TDN by HP Tuners

There are a series of icons on each customer vehicle page that represent a different type of file: Tune Files, Data Logs, and Scanner Config Files. This is where tuners will spend most of their time after they have built their custom calibration file in VCM Editor.

Managing your customers in TDN by HP Tuners

TDN Auto-Tune Deployment

Auto-tune deployment is an incredibly useful feature if tuners have a base tune they want to apply to a group of similar vehicles.

Auto Tune Deployment in TDN by HP Tuners

This feature is also used to pre-deploy a tune that goes with an ECM or a kit that is shipped to a customer. Instead of having to manually deliver tunes through the portal for every customer, this feature does the hard work for you.

The HP Tuners Advantage

Tune Delivery Network (TDN) has transformed the way professional tuners approach remote tuning.

Its simple, yet efficient, system of organizing customers and vehicle data enables tuners to expand their operations, increase ROI, and save time (a pro tuner’s most valuable resource). TDN and RTD also make it possible to tune vehicles across the planet!

For customers, it’s never been easier to work with a tuner on a custom calibration for their vehicle(s). Even data logging and diagnostics are simple on the (free) TDN app.

A Note on MPVI3

Like many companies around the globe, HP Tuners has faced numerous supply chain disruptions over the past year, especially with key components like microcontrollers and other semiconductors. This situation presented a unique opportunity for HP Tuners to further innovate their flagship product, not only to meet supply challenges but also to continue delivering the industry’s most cutting-edge tuning and diagnostic device.

Every angle of our new MPVI3 interface for tuning and diagnostics.

Our team is dedicated to providing you with the most sophisticated tool that is readily available and ultimately helps you reach your vehicle goals better and faster than any other tool out there. MPVI3 does exactly that and more, truly making it the only tool you need in your toolbox when it comes to diagnostics and tuning.

MPVI3 vs MPVI2+ | What are the differences?

MPVI3 provides more storage, speed, and pro features for increased efficiency, accuracy, and convenience in the diagnostic and calibration processes.

MPVI3 is also significantly larger than the previous generation MPVI2+ interface due to a larger board.

The size difference between the MPVI2+ and the new MPVI3 by HP Tuners.

Notable features of the new MPVI3 device are the inclusion of Pro Feature Set, 2x the storage capacity (4GB to 8GB), faster standalone data logging, a high-resolution accelerometer, and Ford EEC-V support.

In addition to these new features, MPVI3 continues the legacy of MPVI2+ with invaluable features like Bluetooth 5.0, an M8 motorsports-grade screw-on connector, USB-C connectivity (4MB/s), and RGB status LEDs.

Does MPVI3 come with Pro Feature Set?

Everyone is a pro with MPVI3. Pro Feature Set is now standard with MPVI3 so you can use pro features straight out of the box. These pro features include standalone data logging and compatibility with the PROLINK+ cable (sold separately).

HP Tuners new MPVI3 device using PROLINK+.

The PROLINK+ cable is not included with the purchase of an MPVI3 interface. However, you can purchase this cable at the same time you purchase your new interface. Since Pro Feature Set is already built into the MPVI3, no additional upgrade is required to utilize PROLINK+.

Does MPVI3 come with credits?

The MPVI3 does not include credits, however, you can choose to add credits to your device before checkout—this will save you a step later on! And remember, credits are universal, so you do not need to know the year, make, and model of the vehicle you want to tune when loading up your interface.

Can I upgrade my MPVI, MPVI2, or MPVI2+ interface to the new MPVI3?

If you’re interested in trading in your current interface for the new MPVI3, HP Tuners now offers an MPVI3 Interface Upgrade option allowing you to do just that. Plus, you’ll receive (4) or (6) additional, FREE Universal Credits depending on the generation of your trade-in device. Your new MPVI3 will have all the existing credits and licenses from your old device plus the additional, free credits as part of the offer.

This upgrade option is available to all previous generation interfaces, Pro or Standard, including MPVI, MPVI2, and MPVI2+ interfaces.

(6) Universal Credits for MPVI trade-ins (Standard or Pro)
(4) Universal Credits for MPVI2/2+ trade-ins

NOTE: PROLINK+ is not included with MPVI3 for trade-in Pro devices. Only (4) or (6) additional, free credits are given per (1) upgrade.

MPVI3 Interface Upgrade

The benefits of this upgrade service range from access to all of HP Tuners’ newest vehicle support and all existing supported vehicles, Pro Feature Set enabling standalone data logging and PROLINK+ usage (sold separately), support for Universal Credits, and all the latest features of MPVI3 described above.

You can initiate the upgrade in your MY ACCOUNT > MY DEVICES. This means you must have an account with HP Tuners and that your device is registered. Find the device you want to upgrade and select Upgrade to MPVI3. Then, you’ll be directed to this product page to checkout

My Devices Upgrade to MPVI3

Once purchased, resync your device to back up all your credits and existing vehicle licenses and ship it off to HP Tuners (find shipping information on the product page).

What vehicles are supported by MPVI3?

Unlike some of the older generations, MPVI3 supports all vehicles on our vehicles list. This includes our newest supported vehicles and any future supported vehicles using VCM Suite BETA. Head over to our supported vehicle list to view every year, make, model, and ECM/PCM/TCM we offer tuning/diagnostic support for.

You can also verify credit-licensing costs on our vehicle page. Every vehicle you want to tune requires the purchase of a specific amount of credits which are used to license a vehicle. But, a vehicle license is only required when you’re ready to write to your vehicle. You can still standalone data log and view diagnostic data in VCM Scanner without a vehicle license, whether or not your vehicle is actually supported.

HP Tuners support list broken down for all vehicles and supported vehicles.

And remember, MPVI3 is a multi-vehicle interface that lets you tune thousands of vehicles using a single device. This means you can tune your entire garage/shop, and more using your MPVI3—courtesy of our credit-based licensing system.

But if you've wondered why we don't support a specific vehicle yet or why we support some vehicles and not others, here are your answers.

The post How Does HP Tuners Pick What Vehicles to Support? appeared first on HP Tuners.

HP Tuners offers tuning and diagnostic support for thousands of vehicles from nearly every vehicle manufacturer around the world. This includes popular US manufacturers like Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, as well as Asian, Korean, and European manufacturers like Toyota, Nissan, Seat, Porsche, and Volkswagen. Still, we haven’t released support for every single year, make, and model of vehicle from every manufacturer on the roads today—why not?

This is a common question our team here at HP Tuners receives from eager customers, like you, who want to tune their vehicle with our hardware and software. We also get questions like “How do you support [insert unpopular vehicle that few people want to modify] but not my [insert relatively popular vehicle]?!” and “Why doesn’t HP Tuners support my vehicle?”. These are both valid questions. So, here are your answers.

HP Tuners branded Golf GTI parked outside a garage with a Ford truck,

Our process of adding tuning support for vehicles is determined by two main factors, including vehicle popularity and vehicle control module accessibility.

Sometimes, a popular vehicle model that we support will share the same control module with a less popular model from the same manufacturer. In this case, if we support one vehicle with that ECM/PCM, we also support other vehicles with that same ECM/PCM.

For example, we offer tuning/diagnostic support for the 99-02 Chevy Venture with the 3.4L V6—very exciting, we know. The reason we support this vehicle is because it shares the same ECM with the Pontiac Grand Prix and Grand Am, the Impala, and several other V6 models, including the Pontiac Firebird which the company was founded on.

For all the Hellcat fans out there, the Pacifica/Grand Caravan shares the same PCM type as our supported Hellcat, which means we support both of those vehicles.

HP Tuners' branded Golf GTI at the track data logging with VCM Scanner.

If you’re someone who has a vehicle that’s not currently supported by HP Tuners, our engineering team is constantly working on adding new vehicle support for new and older vehicles, including powersports, so stay tuned.

And while we don’t offer tuning support for every vehicle yet, if you’re equipped with one of our interface devices, you can still utilize standalone data logging and view diagnostic data on your OBDII vehicle without purchasing credits and licensing your vehicle. This means that your vehicle does not have to be on our supported vehicle list for you to still use our MPVI3 device.

Supported vehicles vs. all vehicles

Additionally, our interfaces are multi-vehicle. This means you can tune and/or run diagnostics on all the toys in your garage with a single MPVI3 interface—from your track car to your mini-van, your side-by-side, and your tow rig! Our tools work for nearly every modern vehicle with an OBDII port and even powersports vehicles with our OBDII adapter cables. This is an invaluable benefit for enthusiasts and pro tuners of any kind.

Stay tuned for upcoming vehicle support releases on our social media and email. HP Tuners is dedicated to providing enthusiasts and tuners, like you, with the industry’s most cutting-edge tuning and diagnostic solutions and comprehensive vehicle support.

One of the biggest advantages of HP Tuners’ tuning and diagnostics ecosystem is rooted in its credit-based licensing system. Most tuning solutions out there, depending on your application, use single-vehicle devices.

Now if you only own one vehicle and never plan to tune or view diagnostic data on another vehicle, you might be okay with a device like that.

If that doesn’t describe you, this poses a serious inconvenience that could cost you more money than you’re willing to fork out.

Our credit-based licensing system eliminates this inconvenience by catering to tuners and enthusiasts who own/work with more (sometimes many more) than just one vehicle. Maybe it’s your truck and your UTV, or your SUV and your track car, or maybe it’s all four!

Our latest-generation MPVI3 is a multi-vehicle interface that can tune all the toys in your garage—tune your UTV, your truck, and your track car with a single device.

Here’s how we do it.

What are HP Tuners’ Credits?

Credits are the currency used to license your vehicle to your MPVI3 device.

HP Tuners Vehicle Licensing Process

Think of credits like minutes for a prepaid cell phone. First, you buy the actual device, in this case, a phone (your MPVI3). Then, you buy “minutes” to make calls and text people (aka, credits).

HP Tuners Vehicle Licensing Process Step 2

Once you make a 4-minute phone call, those 4 minutes you bought are now used. Similarly, once you purchase and license a 4-credit vehicle, those 4 credits are now used/licensed. Simple, right?

This credit-based licensing system is an innovative solution that allows enthusiasts and professional tuners worldwide to tune as many supported vehicles as they want with a single device.

Universal Credits by HP Tuners

The best part about this is that credits are universal, meaning they can be applied to any vehicle that HP Tuners supports—hence the name, Universal Credits. Licensing and credit costs change depending on the vehicle, but if you purchase (4) credits and only use (3) of them, you can apply that leftover credit to a different vehicle.

There is one other type of credit available if you have the original MPVI interface—MPVI Credits. Unlike universal credits, these are specific Dodge, GM, and Ford credits. They are similar to Universal Credits in terms of the licensing process, however, MPVI Credits can only be used for those three vehicle manufacturers (Dodge, GM, and Ford).

Why Do You Need a License?

The nature of this credit-based licensing system requires licenses so you have the ability to tune your vehicle’s control module. That includes ECMs, PCMs, TCMs, and more, but license costs vary depending on the year, make, model, engine, and control module.

However, until you are ready to write to your vehicle’s control module, you do not need a license. This means you can still use VCM Scanner to data log and view diagnostic data without a license. A license is only required when you want to write a new calibration to your vehicle.

HP Tuners' all vehicles vs. supported vehicles breakdown.

Since licenses are tied to your vehicle’s VIN, PCM serial number, and PCM OS, assuming those values never change, you can write calibrations to that vehicle indefinitely. You can build and flash as many custom tunes to that vehicle as you want—max towing tune, fuel economy tune, track day tune, and more—without paying each time.

HP Tuners Vehicle Licenses

Now, if you sell that car 10 years down the road, don’t worry—you don’t have to sell your device with the vehicle. You can keep your device and the license for that vehicle. You can also continue to tune any supported vehicle using that same device.

Something else to keep in mind is that when you license a vehicle, that license is permanently stored on your device. This means you cannot delete or swap licenses once you’re committed.

What Are the Advantages of This Credit-Based Licensing System?

This credit-based licensing system offers a highly efficient and convenient solution for the modern tuning world, whether you’re running a local shop, a large operation, or it’s just you in the garage. The biggest advantage of this system is the fact that you can tune all the (supported) toys in your garage/shop with a single MPVI3 interface.

For professionals, this means that you are able to tune every HPT-supported vehicle that your customers bring to you—trucks, cars, powersports vehicles, and even Sea-Doo personal watercraft.

Cost-Effective

This leads to the next big advantage—cost. Since you can tune multiple vehicles with a single device and credits, you only purchase credits when you need them. You can even keep a credit reserve “just in case” a new platform is supported and you want to start tuning right away.

Not Vehicle Specific

Speaking of purchasing credits, the actual purchasing process is very simple because Universal Credits are not vehicle specific. Universal Credits apply to every HP Tuners-supported vehicle, so there’s no need to specify year, make, model, license type, etc. at checkout. Simply select how many credits you want, checkout, and you’re all set.

Unlimited Year/Model Licenses

Another major benefit of this system, specifically for large and/or specialized tuning shops, is the option to purchase “unlimited year/model license“. What does this mean exactly? If your tuning shop works on a lot of 2011-2016 Silverado 6.6L Duramax trucks, for example, you could purchase an unlimited license for a six (6) of credits and tune as many of them as you want indefinitely. There’s no need to purchase more Universal Credits every time you onboard another one of those specific year/model because you have a unlimited year/model license.

Not every HPT-supported vehicle is eligible for unlimited credits, so make sure to check that on our vehicle page. Also, keep in mind that some new vehicles may only be supported using our latest interface (Universal Credits).

How Do You Load Credits onto Your Interface?

Activating credits on your device after purchasing them is simple and can be done almost immediately after purchasing them. It’s as easy as opening the latest version of VCM Scanner or Editor on your computer (connected to the internet, of course), going to HELP located to the right in the menu bar, and clicking RESYNC INTERFACE.

How to verify how many credits you have on your HP Tuners interface.

You can also verify how many credits you have on your interface through your HP Tuners Account or by pulling an info log.

If you’re having trouble activating the credits you just purchased, there may be a different issue, so please reach out to our awesome support team or explore our VCM Suite Help site.

Does HP Tuners Come With Credits?

The latest generation MPVI3 device does not come with credits, however, you can load up your device with credits at checkout. If you add credits at checkout, you can start licensing vehicles with it right out of the package.

The Ultimate Solution

Our credit-based licensing system gives tuners and enthusiasts the freedom, flexibility, and power to tune whatever supported vehicles they want, whenever they want, and as many as they want.

As vehicle manufacturers continue to make advancements with new automotive technologies, the way we support the automotive aftermarket evolves, too.

Back in the day or with older platforms, you could simply plug in your HP Tuners’ interface, license the vehicle, and start tuning and running diagnostics whenever your heart desired. But some OEMs are making this a little more complicated on new vehicles with “locked” ECMs, PCMs, and even TCMs. Fortunately, we have solutions.

Remember, here at HP Tuners, Dodge vehicles refer to all Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Jeep vehicles.

Important Disclaimers

Regardless of the service, your upgraded, exchanged, or new ECM/PCM/TCM will only be compatible with HP Tuners’ tuning and calibration software—VCM Suite.

Additionally, for exchange and upgrade service options, your original ECM/PCM that you send HP Tuners MUST meet our criteria. This means your control module cannot have any fire or water damage, has no broken tabs or connectors, and is completely functional and physically intact. If you send in a control module that does not meet these criteria, we will send it back and you will receive a refund.

ECM – Engine control module

PCM – Powertrain control module

TCM – Transmission control module.

Purchase

The purchase option is pretty straightforward. If you have a locked GM E41 ECM, GM E99 ECM, or Dodge PCM, you can purchase a brand new, already upgraded control module from HP Tuners. Your new control module will be ready-to-tune with our VCM Suite software once you perform a few relearns/reprogramming that are outlined in the supplied installation instructions (see T93/T87A instructions for example) and license the vehicle.

This option is available for:

  • GM E41 ECM (L5P): (2017+ Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L L5P Duramax)
  • GM E99 ECM: (2019+ Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 6.2L V8 LT5)
  • GM E90 ECM: (2019-2022 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra, 5.3L & 6.2L V8 [L84/L87] [pre-facelift trucks])
  • Dodge PCM: (2015+ Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/RAM vehicles (all FCA models, except the 2015+ Dodge Viper and 2014 to 2019 Jeep/Dodge/Ram vehicles with the EDC17C79 PCM)
  • GM T93 TCM: (2019+ GM vehicles equipped with 8 and 10-speed transmissions (non-Global A or B)
  • GM E93 ECM: (2020-2023 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra, 6.6L (L8T) & 2021.5 Silverado/Sierra 1500 5.3L)
HP Tuners ZR1 Corvette tuned using VCM Suite and MVPI2+

For GM vehicles, so the 2017+ Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 powered by the 6.6L Duramax, your new ECM from HP Tuners will be programmed to your specific vehicle because you’ll provide us with your vehicle’s VIN at checkout.

However, for 2015+ Dodge vehicles, we’ll need you to provide a stock read file instead which will be programmed to your new, ready-to-tune PCM. Regardless, this purchase option will provide you with a brand new, unlocked, programmed ECM/PCM for your specific vehicle.

Upgrade

Our upgrade service is the most common service we offer. This option upgrades your original ECM/PCM/TCM to accept tunes from HP Tuners’ VCM Suite software. This means you’ll need to remove your original control module from your vehicle and send it to HP Tuners. Our team will upgrade your original control module so we can work our magic and upgrade it for tuning.

This option is available for:

  • GM E41 ECM (L5P): (2017+ Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L Duramax)
  • Dodge PCM: (2015+ Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/RAM vehicles (all FCA models, except the 2015+ Dodge Viper and 2014 to 2019 Jeep/Dodge/Ram vehicles with the EDC17C79 PCM
  • GM T87A TCM: (2017+ GM 10-Speed and 8-Speed transmissions)
  • Polaris MG1 ECM: (2022 Polaris RXR Pro R)
  • GM T93 TCM: (2019+ GM vehicles equipped with 8 and 10-speed transmissions (non-Global A or B)
  • GM E46 ECM: (2020-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax (LM2) trucks [non-Global B vehicles])
  • GM E93 ECM: (2020-2023 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra, 6.6L (L8T) & 2021.5 Silverado/Sierra 1500 5.3L)
  • GM E90 ECM: (2019-2022 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra, 5.3L & 6.2L V8 [L84/L87] [pre-facelift trucks])
  • Ford MD1 ECM (Power Stroke): (2020-2021 F-Series Super Duty truck [Power Stroke 6.7L diesel engine])

Many enthusiasts prefer this option because want to use their original control module. And again, before we can upgrade your original control module, it must meet our criteria—no fire or water damage, no internal damage, no broken tabs, and so on.

The biggest thing to note with this service option is that we do not reprogram your original control module for a different vehicle (except for Dodge, see below). For example, if you send us a spare or junkyard control module that isn’t from your original vehicle, we will only upgrade it to accept tunes, we won’t reprogram it for a different VIN/vehicle.

However, this is not the case with Dodge vehicles. If you own a Dodge/Ram/Jeep/Chrysler vehicle and you want to send us a PCM that’s not from your original vehicle, you MUST send us a stock read (of your original vehicle PCM) during checkout so we can reprogram it. This is a requirement to complete the service at checkout.

Dodge PCM Unlock service by HP Tuners

Although this service option takes longer than the other two, you’ll have that peace of mind knowing you’ll still use your original ECM for tuning. This option also doesn’t require an IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or the “replace ECM” function in VCM Scanner which takes more work off your plate (as long as the control module returns to the same vehicle it came from).

Like the exchange option, upgrading your ECM is more cost-effective, but keep in mind your vehicle will be down for a few days while your control module is being upgraded. Most upgrade services we offer take 1-2 business days to complete (excluding shipping times).

This option has a quick 2-3 business day turnaround time (not including shipping time). So, if you have another daily driver to bum around in for a few days, this would be a good option.

Exchange

Our exchange service is currently only available for the GM E41 ECM found in 2017+ Silverado and Sierra 6.6L Durmax truck. The exchange service for this platform is a cost-effective option that exchanges your original ECM/PCM for an already modified/upgraded ECM from HP Tuners.

This option requires you to remove your original E41 ECM from your truck and send it to HP Tuners. Once we receive your original ECM, will ship you back a different, already upgraded ECM that’s programmed to your specific vehicle.

This option is available for:

  • GM E41 ECM (L5P): (2017+ Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L Duramax)

Note: The E90 and E99 ECM Exchange Services are no longer available, effective 3/16/2023. Please select E90/E99 ECM Upgrade Service if you wish to send in an ECM. For any additional questions, please contact support@hptuners.com.

HP Tuners L5P Duramax ECM services

Since you’d be sending us your ECM, it must also meet our criteria—physically intact and functional from a communication perspective. You’ll also need to provide us with your VIN so we can program the different, upgraded ECM to your specific vehicle.

However, before you uninstall your original ECM, you’ll need to perform the “Replace ECM” function in VCM Scanner located under System > General. Take a look at the installation instructions for this service here.

Options Tailored for You

Depending on your build situation and timeline, we have options tailored to different needs. And while the OEMs are adding an extra step to the tuning/diagnostic process, these ECM/PCM/TCM service options make it simple to get your ride up and running with a custom, DIY tune.

These service options are the first step to unlocking more performance, better fuel economy, or more diagnostic capabilities for your ride. You’ll still need your MVPI2, MPVI2+, or MPVI3 device (with credits) and the latest version of VCM Suite BETA to get started tuning. If you own the 2022 Polaris RXR Pro R, you’ll also need our Polaris OBDII Adapter Cable (required for tuning).

Note: All the shipping and packaging information for these services can be found on their individual product pages.
