• Vehicle licenses and credits will be transferred assuming the old device sent in for upgrading is fully functional and contains licenses and credits.
• If HP Tuners receives a non-functional device for upgrading, we are unable to transfer any vehicle licenses/credits that may be on the device. However, the user will still receive a new MPVI3 device with (4) or (6) additional Universal Credits (the number of credits depends on the old device generation).
• Please resync your old device before shipping it to HP Tuners for upgrading. You can do this by opening VCM Editor and clicking HELP > RESYNC INTERFACE.
• This is a trade-in service, so you will not receive your old interface back.
• PROLINK+ is not included with this MPVI3 Interface Upgrade. However, you can add the PROLINK+ cable to your MPVI3 Interface Upgrade order here. Please note that PROLINK+ is not required to use MPVI3.
• HP Tuners is offering (4) or (6) additional, free credits per (1) upgrade service depending on the generation of the trade-in device. If sending in multiple old devices to upgrade to a single MPVI3 device, only one set of credits will be added to the new device (ex. [2] MPVI devices sent in for upgrading to [1] MPVI3 will only receive [6] total free credits).

Please allow at least 3 business days for the transfer to be completed and for your new interface to be shipped back to you. Your old Interface will not be shipped back.

NOTE: Customers are responsible for shipping costs to and from HP Tuners. The shipping charge at checkout only covers shipping your new MPVI3 device to you. You can ship your old device to HP Tuners via any carrier you prefer.

• ECMs with broken tabs will NOT be accepted for Upgrades.
• Your Purchased or Upgraded E41 ECM can only be tuned via the OBDII port with an MPVI2/2+/3 (updated with the latest firmware), the latest version of VCM Suite BETA, and an internet connection.
• No other tuning or calibration tools can be used with the ECM (including dealer reflash tools).
• The latest version of VCM Suite can be used to return to stock calibration and/or update to the latest stock calibration.
• If you select the PURCHASE option, you must follow these installation steps once receiving your new ECM.
• VCM Scanner, Dealer Diagnostic, and other diagnostic tools will continue to function normally.
• VCM Suite (version 4.13+) can be used to return to the stock calibration and/or update to the latest stock calibration.
• If purchasing a new ECM, the Vehicle Anti-Theft System relearn (by a dealer tool) is required once the new ECM is installed.
• The GM E41 ECM Upgrade Service take 1-3 business days to complete (not including shipping times) per ECM.

These steps only apply to the send-in upgrade service, NOT the purchase.

Step 1: Once you’ve confirmed your vehicle’s support (2017+ Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L Duramax with E41 ECM), purchase this service.

Step 2: After placing your order, see the “Shipping” tab for a shipping form and address. Fill out this form and place it in your shipping box. You will also receive an email immediately after placing your order with this shipping form and address.

Step 3: Remove your E41 ECM from your vehicle and safely package it. Place your completed shipping form in the box.

Step 4: Write your order number on the outside of the shipping box.

Step 5: Ship your ECM to HP Tuners using any carrier you prefer. The shipping address can be found on this page and in the email discussed in step 2. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Step 6: HP Tuners will upgrade your ECM for tuning and diagnostics. Then, we’ll ship it back to you.

Step 7: Once you receive your upgraded ECM, install it back into your vehicle. License the E41 ECM for (8) Universal Credits (sold separately) and start tuning with your MPVI2 or newer generation device and the latest version of VCM Suite BETA.

Any additional hardware ordered with this product will be shipped along with your ECM. To avoid any delays on other products, please create a separate order for those items.

NOTE: Customers are responsible for shipping costs when sending HP Tuners your ECM/PCM/TCM. The shipping charge at checkout only covers returning your control module after modification.

• These ECM/PCM/TCM services are completed at the owner’s risk. HP Tuners will not be responsible for the vehicle, its powertrain, or electronics, nor how the control module is used, calibrated, and its functionality.
• Due to the factory location of the PCMs in the vehicle, all PCMs will exhibit signs of weathering and wear, which is completely normal.
