New Tuning Support for GM 3.0L Duramax Trucks and SUVs

April 23rd, 2024—HP Tuners has just announced new tuning support for the 3.0L Duramax (diesel) engine with the E66 ECM (Global B) powering the 2022-2022.5 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 as well as several GM SUVs (all LM2 generation) . This Duramax diesel engine can now be licensed and tuned with HP Tuners once the E66 ECM is upgraded via their one-time, send-in upgrade service. Additionally, HP Tuners also supports select transmissions in these vehicles with the T93 TCM. Users must check the service number on their transmission controller to confirm if it’s supported.
This service prepares the ECM to not only accept tunes but also be diagnosed using HP Tuners comprehensive VCM Suite software package and an MPVI3 OBDII device. Check out all the details below on this tuning support.
New supported models:
- 2022-2022.5 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 3.0L Duramax (LM2)
- 2022.5-2022 GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Duramax (LM2)
- 2021-2023 Chevrolet Suburban 3.0L Duramax (LM2)
- 2021-2023 GMC Yukon 3.0L Duramax (LM2)
- 2021-2023 Cadillac Escalade 3.0L Duramax (LM2)
Everything you need to tune the models listed above:
- The E66 ECM found in these models must be upgraded for diagnostics and tuning. This can be done via our GM E66 ECM Service (Global B) which is a one-time, send-in upgrade service that takes 1-3 business days to service (excluding shipping times).
- Select T93 TCMs (transmission) found in these models may also be supported and require an additional upgrade service. Confirm support by visiting the GM T93 TCM Service (Global B) to find our list of supported service numbers. NOTE: You can license the ECM and TCM separately. So, tuning the transmission is not required. Users can only tune the ECM if they desire.
- Compatible with MPVI3 devices only.
- Credit-licensing costs for tuning: (8) Universal Credits per ECM.
- Credit-licensing costs for TCM tuning: (4) Universal Credits per TCM (if supported).
- Requires the latest version of VCM Suite BETA (5.1.XXXX+).
Note: Users are not required to license the TCM in addition to the ECM. Users can tune both or only one controller.
